This zigzag pleasing fungus beetle (Erotylus directus) was a specimen from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's entomology collection. Drawn in carbon dust, the little details of this bug were an incredibly fun challenge to tackle. The final carbon dust piece was scanned into Adobe Illustrator where the rest of the details and information were added.
